Integrated Care Systems

AFHS has argued that integrated care is the "new NHS core business". Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) have a great opportunity to lead the development of new integrated services. 

In December 2022, we set out a new agenda for ICSs following the Hewitt Review, including a new workforce strategy and autonomy over capital funding.

In January 2022, we argued that two-thirds of ICSs could operate as a single Place, simplifying governance.

In November 2021, we reviewed the difficult financial position and made recommendations including the reintroduction of standard tariffs.
